It’s the most wonderful time of the year!
No, not the Holidays. It’s planning season! There, I said it! Planning.
Yes, I know — for some of you, planning is an evil word. It’s up there with taxes or a visit to the dentist. Unless, you are like me and you love to geek out on making plans.
Benjamin Franklin said, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
Are you “winging it” in your business? Even a basic plan is better than no plan to help you get off the treadmill of overwhelm in your business.
Or, you may be getting by just fine in your business. But imagine hitting all your target goals in business and getting the outcomes you desire year after year.
That’s what a plan can do for you!
No more wasting time on activities that don’t produce results. No more wasting time on clients that suck up your energy. No more wasting time on inefficient procedures.
Whether you love to plan or not, this is the perfect time of the year to hit the pause button and do TWO things in your business.
The first thing I want you to do is assess how you are going to finish out the year. Does it look like you are going to hit your target goals?
If the answer is yes; good for you! Keep at it.
If the answer is no, then it’s time to get laser-focused and kick it into high gear and make some changes in your business. It may just mean a minor change that will make a big difference.
What are your pain points? Is it managing your time better? Is it generating more leads? Or perhaps you have plenty of leads, but need to improve on closing the sale?
Wherever your challenges are, this is the time to take a look underneath the hood and troubleshoot the areas that are causing your business grief so that you can finish 2016 with a big win.
The second thing I want you do is — over the next 90 days step away from your business for a day or two or three and drop into planning mode for 2017.
What is your vision for 2017? What are your goals for 2017? What do you want to create in 2017? What do you want more of or less of in 2017?
An annual plan is designed to help guide you and your team closer to your dreams.
